We're not going to tell you construction is for everyone. It's not. But if you want to do work that actually shows up in the real world, in your town, in buildings people use every single day, keep reading.
Tri-City Group is a national construction company with roots right here in the Midwest. We put time, money, and real effort back into the communities we work in. Not because it looks good on paper. Because it's the right thing to do.
We're inviting high school students to come see what that looks like from the inside. No commitment, no pressure. Just come find out if this world could be a fit for you.
What a day looks like
Every shadow day is a little different depending on the role, but here's what stays the same no matter what:
You'll meet real people doing real work. Whoever you shadow is going to do their actual job and bring you along for it. No scripted tours.
Field roles go to the job site. You'll see a real project happening up close, sometimes from the ground up. Hard hat and boots included.
Office roles get into the actual day-to-day. Sit in on real meetings, see what's going on right now, and find out what it takes to keep a big construction company running.
Ask anything. Our people will be honest about what the job is really like. The fun parts, the repetitive parts, all of it.

Duration and location vary by role and may be subject to change. All shadow experiences require a student (and parent/guardian for anyone under the age of 18) signed Waiver of Liability prior to the shadow.
